image for Elmo feeling sad, says Elmo
Irritating, and always speaking in the third person....

Lovable red Muppet, Elmo is sad because Elmo has been told to stop talking in the third person.

Elmo doesn't understand this, as Elmo is only a young Muppet, although he has been on the show for years, and knows things about life that even Happy Monday Maraca shaker Bez can only guess at.

Elmo's teachers, Mrs Hannigan, having moved on from being cruel to orphans has turned her taunting ways on Elmo.

Always cheerful, and a little bit irritating, Elmo has had a career talking in the third person for years, but it is something most people, and indeed, Muppets grow out of in time.

Big Bird said: 'I feel for Elmo, I really do, but as much as I hate to say it, Mrs Haningan does have a point'.

Limited in vocabulary, the Cookie Monster added: 'Cookie, cookie, cookie'.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
