Old School rock star, Sir Cliff Richard is due to release his Christmas single this Friday lagging far behind his competitors.
His single entitled "A Christmas World-Cup Rugby Prayer", sets the acclaimed Lord's Prayer to the tune of England Rugby Team's anthem, "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot".
Sir Cliff commented, "Well, I know it's a bit late, but I think I've cornered the market for sales. First, I've got my usual following of old folks who love me. Second, I've got the rugby fans who love Swing Low Sweet Chariot. My B-Side is my own rendition of Swing Low, I think it's pretty good. Sales should be two-fold too, as they usually are. My Millenium prayer was great, I had the old dears buying themselves a copy, then all their relatives would buy them a copy, I worked it out with my manager that we had on average a 3:1 ratio of CDs to Old People."
Chart analysts were predicting that Will Young's "Leave Right Now", would be this year's Christmas number 1, but with the release of Cliff's single, he could just wing it, or maybe come close second.
