Buenos Aires - "Getting their asses kicked from Argentina over some dumb number plate ranks as big a hoax as the Hitler Diaries," the head ot MI5 said today.
The Security Service tipoff reckons Clarkson and his Top Gear henchmen were unceremonoiusly booted from Buenos Aires "because their show's become crap".
And needs all the free publicity it can get.
It's not the first time Top Gear's broadcaster has been accused of 'faking it' purely to up its dismal audience figures.
Last year UK national broadcaster BBC was publocly hauled over the coals for blatantly conning viewers of a primetime nature show by using stuffed gorillas with strap-on penises during an alleged 'mating season' scene.
Today's latest headlines smack of the same BBC deceit that dreamed up using padded jock straps to exaggerate BBC's Strictly Come Dancing male dancers' crotches.
No wonder Bruce Forsyth got the hump.
