WEST MONROE, LA - Rob Philertson, patriarch of the Duck Dynasty reality TV show has died of a duck bite, according to A&E.
Mr. Philertson died on Saturday night after refusing to seek medical attention after a duck bit his left testicle during the taping of a Duck Dynasty episode. Philertson was found dead in his home about 10 p.m., an A&E spokesman said.
His sons, Jess, Willie, and Jeb, recounted the incident to WQAQ-TV in Monroe. "After Paw shot the duck, he went to retrieve it and was attacked by a brace of ducks, all wearing camouflage."
Coots said his father had survived eight other duck bites.
Rather than seek medical treatment, he preferred to leave his fate to Jack and Coke.
