HOLLYWOOD - Australian actor Mel Gibson has just confirmed that he has signed to star in Cinema Castle Film's Spoiled Brat - The Alec Baldwin Story.
Gibson, who was home in Australia helping to brand kangaroos, said that he received a phone call from the film's director Durango Grundyweather offering him the role.
The Aussie actor said that he has always wanted to play the out-of-control, dysfunctional actor because he kind of identifies with him a little.
Mel speaking with Glamboyant Magazine's Voodoo Dupree said that he realizes that the 55-year-old Baldwin is nowhere near as good looking as he is but Alec has a type of fiery temper that is not unlike his.
He did note that unlike Mel, he has personally never bitten anyone that he got into an altercation with.
According to Grundyweather, Penelope Cruz will star as Baldwin's extremely patient wife Hilaria Thomas-Baldwin.
Other actors who will be appearing in the movie include Sofia Vergara, Boo Boo Stewart, Khloe Kardashian, and Dancing With The Star's Maksim Chmerkovskiy in his very first acting role.
New England Patriots quarterback-tight end Tim Tebow will be starring as himself.
The movie will be filmed in Smell-O-Vision on location in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, as well as in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
SIDENOTE: Grundyweather told Miss Dupree that Mel Gibson will be doing all of his own stunts including the ones involving the four circus tigers.
