LOS ANGELES - A representative for Bob Dylan has just announced that the 71-year-old folk singer has just recorded a Christmas song with the star of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Alana Thompson, 7.
Dylan's rep told Music Moments Magazine that he was first approached about the song by June "Mama" Shannon, Honey Boo Boo's mom.
She told him that her lovely, little, pageant winning daughter wanted to record a Christmas song with the music icon.
"Mama" Shannon said that Alana had heard about Bob Dylan from a book that her daddy Mark "Sugar Bear" Thompson had purchased back on Labor Day at a McIntyre (Georgia) flea market.
She pointed out that the book titled, The Songs, Poems, and Onomatopoeia Prose of Bob Dylan, included over 80 photos of Dylan and musical friends including Joan Baez, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Tom Petty, and Ke$ha.
According to 3M's Calcutta Cotton all proceeds from the sale of the Christmas song will go towards a monetary fund which has been established for The Unemployed Peach Pickers of Georgia (UPPG).
Cotton said that she spoke with Mr. Dylan and he told her that the song he and Honey Boo Boo recorded is titled "My Tummy Says Yummy Yummy For Christmas Peach Cobbler Pie"
He added that he co-wrote the song with former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi at Rob Pattinson's Malibu Beach House, The Vampire Villa.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: I called up Ryan "Peaches" Seacrest, who is a native of Georgia, and he informed me that he is going to feature Dylan and Honey Boo Boo singing their Christmas song live on his L.A. radio program on Christmas Eve.]
