WATTS, California - The Yo Bro Record Label Company has just announced that one of its featured artists Snoop Dogg has just changed his name.
The man who was born Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. and started performing under the name Snoop Puppy Dogg has also been known as Snoop Doggy Dogg and Snoop Dogg.
Well now Snoop Dogg says that he is changing his name again; this time to Snoop Lion.
A spokesperson for the record label, Trundell Jackson-Jefferson stated that Mr. Broadus is a typical marijuana, reggae music enthusiast who always feels he has to be on the cusp of any upcoming cutting edge changes in the world of hip hop and rap.
When Snoop Dogg was asked if he got the name Snoop Lion from the movie The Lion King, he became somewhat irritated and replied that he took the name from the Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus.
He said he recently saw the circus perform at Detroit's Carburetor Coliseum and he fell in love with the idea of changing his name from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion.
Snoop Lion's first album will be titled Reincarnated Reincarnation and the first single from the album will be a song that was co-written by Kanye West and Kara DioGuardi titled, "La La La LaLaLand Uh Huh."
