News International newspapers and Rupert Murdoch today made an unreserved apology over the Charlotte Church 'Countdown Clock'.
The countdown clock for the scrumptious welsh childhood star was placed in the newsroom of News International newspapers at Wapping to remind journalists how long before the next story about the sexier than sheep singer should be published. The average story count on Charlotte in the Stun newspaper was 3/4 a week.
Charlotte was asked to sing at the wedding of Rupert Murdoch and Wendi Wang for free - in return the clock would be taken down and sold to the Daily Star owner Richard Desmond. Church and her management turned the offer down and asked to be paid in luncheon vouchers and a Linda Lusardi calender from 1989.
The clock is now for sale on international titular tat auction website isay.web
