It was confirmed today that popular singer Adele will indeed be headlining at the pop concert for H M the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations from the roof of the Royal Palace.

Specialist builders are being brought in to Buckingham Palace to strengthen the roof when it was further confirmed that in a manner similar to Brian May from Queen who played the National Anthem during the Royal Diamond Jubilee in 2002, Adele will also be singing from the rooftop of the palace.

However, Brian May is acknowledged to be only half the weight of the healthily-proportioned Adele, and as usual, the Health and Safety Executive ruled the day by demanding that Adele either wear a safety harness and wire attached to a crane, or that Buckingham Palace strengthen the roof.

It was felt that in order to preserve the atmosphere of the occasion, it might not be suitable to have a large singer dangling from a crane should she fall through the rafters.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
