Nyapyidaw - In a bizarre twist of events the south east Asian nation of Myanmar has dumped it's longstanding trading partner China in favor of American celebutante the stunning Paris Hilton.
The split between Myanmar and China made headlines this weekend after Myanmar President Thein Sein ordered work on the Myitsone Dam on the Irrawaddy River to stop. Beijing has since urged Myanmar to protect the rights of Chinese companies involved in the $3.6 billion China-backed mega dam following Paris Hilton's objections.
Paris who has been visiting India became aware of the the dam project in the northern Kachin State and is deeply concerned after hearing the dam would inundate an area about the size of Singapore, submerging dozens of villages, displacing at least 10,000 people and irreversibly damaging one of the world's most biodiverse areas.
"I have told President Thein Sein I will open lots of perfume, handbag and shoe factories as long as he stops this dam project and that I'll tell Obama to drop the sanctions to achieve these goals" said Paris smoking a strange smelling Burmese cheroot.
Paris and her friends are expected to invest over $5 billion into the Myanmar garment industry over the next 5 years. Toyota and Subaru are also said to be planning to assemble their much anticipated joint sports coupe Ft-86 / BRZ concept in Yangon.
