Actor Clive Dunn, famed for his role as the dithering Corporal Jones in Dad's Army, is tipped to be this year's Christmas number one with an updated version of his 1970 hit 'Grandad' which will feature death metal band Napalm Death.
In the new version, Dunn will play an ageing bayonet-obsessed slasher who escapes from an institution and sets out on a last frenzied rampage, screaming "them f******'s don't like it up 'em!".
The decision to go ahead with this revised version of a family hit is certain to be controversial and follows last year's hit collaboration by Father Abraham and Public Enemy, "Bitch-slap the Smurfs."
In related news, EMI will decide in November whether or not to go ahead with the Keith Harris and Obituary collaboration: "Violently Slash at the Stupid Green Duck With A Selection of Rather Sharp Implements."
