New York - The highly respected Webster's Dictionary has announced it will include the acronym "WTF" in their 2012 edition. "WTF" which stands for "what the fuck"?" or "what the fuck!!!" is now used so commonly by so many Americans about so many things that linguists now recognize it as a word in everyday usage.

"Webster's Dictionary has always strived to reflect contemporary language and social trends, therefore it is only proper that WTF be included. We estimate that the average American says WTF 100 times per day, especially when standing in line at Walmart or watching bizarre tourists from foreign countries on the Las Vegas Strip."

With the election of Obama, "WTF" really surged in usage, as many Americans repeatedly asked, "WTF?" The continuing outsourcing of jobs overseas, the flood of cheap, shoddy imports, and of course the continuing popularity of such "stars" as Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie gave rise to a tremendous leap in the use of WTF.

"WTF is a marvelously versatile word. It can be used as a question, an exclamation, or a statement of utter apathetic disgust with the whole damn world. We at Webster's welcome WTF into the American linguistic halls."
