Visitors to the Paris fashion show were stunned by the unveiling of the latest designer fashion accessory yesterday.
The new tampon modelled by Kate Moss was an instant hit with fashion buyers, and drew gasps of appreciation from the audience.
It is thought that the tie-up between tampon makers and Karl Largerfeld has resulted in the opening up of a totally new market.
A spokeswoman said that the designer tampon is a completly new concept for the company. It uses their range of high quality sanitary items trusted by women around the world, but with the added styling of a plastic Karl Lagerfeld logo tied to the end of the string.
"We have high hopes for the product" she said. "As a fashion item we believe that it will shortly be all the rage to wear Largerfeld products even during the non-menstruating period of the month".
Shares in the company rose 20%
