DFS have today revealed that their sale is going to end in a surprise announcement.
The sale, which has been running for the last 63 years and has made the company famous for it's TV commercials, has become a British institution.
Pablo Von Mausel, finance director of DFS, said "we have become known for our ever running sales. We like to give our customers value for money, but we can't sustain this level of discount in the current climate."
We hit the streets to get the voice of the people on this upsetting news.
Barry Plebb, 31 of Dagenham, said "I bought a sofa from them once, very reasonable. I don't know what I'll do when the sale ends. Britain won't be Britain without a DFS sale."
Sally Blankcheque, 16 to 1 on, said "I blame that Gordon Brown, he's to blame, always meddling in things that don't concern him."
Biddy Tiles, Liverpool 1 Arsenal nil, said "I live in New Zealand, so it really doesn't concern me. I'm only over here on holiday. Oh look, it's raining again. Do you know where the bus station is?"
The sale is due to end next Sunday.
