New York, USA - Currently in bankruptcy proceedings, Six Flags amusement park company has announced that it wants to partner with Qantas airline by taking over their Australia to Indonesia routes.
"We feel," said Six Flags representative Durk Smedley, "...that by partnering with Qantas on these routes, we can provide our clientele with a unique and unprecedented level of thrill ride enjoyment. As Qantas has recently proven, these routes are fraught with difficulty and danger but more importantly, thrills. Just today several of their clients ended up on the ceiling of a rather large jet after the plane hit convective turbulence; a little understood but nevertheless perfectly robust weather phenomenon. Our clients would pay top dollar to be able to experience this. As the premiere amusement company of the world, we feel obligated to provide them with this experience."
In making the announcement, Qantas spokesperson Judith Miller stated, "...I think that's great. All we get from our customers are complaints and lawsuits. Once these routes are under the auspices of an amusement ride and the customers are required to sign release forms, both of our companies may see a return to profitability."
