A plastic 'magic fish' which has predictive qualities has taken control of the worlds Stock Markets.
The cheap plastic, 2-inch long, paper-thin item, which is often found in children's toy stores, has taken the global markets by storm and is being hailed as the savior the World economy.
Originating in Western China, where it was included along with fortune cookies in Chinese restaurants (in China, simply referred to as 'restaurants'), the magic fish spread around the world rapidly after it was shown to predict which stocks would boom or plummet.
"It is very easy to use", said one Chinese business man, "you just place it on your hand and wait until it moves. If the head moves, your stock price will rise. If the tail moves, then it's the opposite".
But skeptics have warned that the Global recession may be due in part to the onset of the 'fickle fish syndrome'.
"Most of the time when you put the fish on your hand it simple curls up into a ball", said an industry analyst, "the fickle fish syndrome tells you f**k all, so people don't know what to do with their shares."
