NEW YORK CITY - (Satire News) - Nowadays, everything is totally automated and computerized. When, you call your dentist you end up talking to four different recording machines and six different departments.
After having to listen to recordings with over 8 sentences and 215 words, you are still not any closer to getting through than when you first called.
And then they place you "On Hold," while they chit chat with their fellow employees, have lunch, or sway to the music of songs by Maroon 5.
Oh and the "On Hold' music has got to be the ugliest sounding, screeching music EVER! going back to the times of the cave men (and the cave women) to be politically correct.
But the thing that is most irksome of all the irksome stuff, is the lengths of credit card numbers. Years ago the card numbers were about 6 or 7 digits. Today, they are averaging as many as 20.
20 NUMBERS!!! My goodness! there aren't that many people, cattle, ducks, snakes, monkeys, beavers, fish, or insects in the entire solar system.
SIDENOTE: My Fiddle Faddle Retail Store credit card number is 7390 2742 0831 7062 1093!!! Oh and that's not counting my 7-digit PIN number. WHEW!!! Excuse me, I need to lay down and rest a little bit. Y'all have a great 'numerical' day.
