OAK BROOK, Illinois - Word from the largest food franchise restaurant chain in the world is that they will soon be adding another entry to their McMenu.
Mickey D's spokesperson Nancy Zabaletta informed the news media that after a year in the planning stages the food chain is ready to introduce its newest food item, the McEnchiladas.
Ms. Zabaletta stated that the McEnchiladas have already been tested in four test markets and they had a fantastic reception. The four cities where they were tested were Cheyenne, Wyoming; Dublin, Ireland; Osaka, Japan; and East Los Angeles.
The McDonalds store in East L.A. reported a line at the drive-thru window that stretched for seven city blocks.
The police department said that traffic had to be rerouted to secondary streets due to the tremendous amount of vehicular traffic which included taxicabs, motorcycles, and one man on a riding lawn mower.
One patron identified as Clark Alegria, 59, of Avocado Heights stated that the McEnchiladas taste just as good as the ones you can get at The Giggling Guacamole Restaurants.
SIDENOTE: Ms. Zabaletta stated that plans are for the McEnchiladas to begin selling in each one of the 33,000 worldwide McDonald's by Monday, September 2, 2013.
