San Jose CA: Dave Hooters (no relation to the Hooters restaurant chain) has been added to the Forbes 400 richest people in America list. The top two billionaires this year were Bill Gates ($59 billion) and Warren Buffett ($39 billion).
Dave Hooters owns and manages a small computer technology company located in Silicon Valley. The company develops small production quantities of specialized computer chips for the computer industry giants located nearby. Dave's company developed a chip that caused anything it was mounted near to levitate.
The new product was presented by Dave's marketing people to several computer companies, the US Air Force and NASA, but these industry and government entities showing no interest. Dave, on a whim, approached Victoria's Secret with an intriguing, innovative proposal to market the new product and upgrade his companies production capabilities.
Victoria's Secret introduced the Uplift Brassiere containing a pair of the "Hooters Chip." The upscale lingerie manufacturer sold 500 million of these brassieres around the world. Dave Hooters ($2 billion) became number 200 on the Forbes list!
