The highest percentage of viewers for any television show actually occurred, once word got out, in March of 1959 when one Larry Berry of WBAQ, after shutting the station down at 12 PM, watched his own movie in the back but forgot to turn off a switch.
The movie was "Nurses Learn To Love New Doctor Dick" and the percentage of homes was 50%!
