I think that my trouble telling my wife anything goes back to my mother. When I was about four, I remember saying, "Mommy, I luv you." She immediately stopped the car, pulled over and told me, "Hey, I'm not sure I can make that kind of commitment. Let's just say 'best friend' for a few more years, OK?"
