A bird was flying south for the winter. The weather was very cold, so much so that the bird was numb.
Eventually it could fly no further, and dropped to the ground, landing in a large pile of cow excrement. However, the 'country pancke' was very warm, so the bird felt revitalised and sang for joy.
The singing attracted a cat, which came and ate the bird.
The Morals:
- Not everyone who gets you into shit is your enemy
- Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
- When you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut.
