From a press release, January 12, 2005:
"The new Samsung phones convert words to text. For people fed up with pecking out text messages on their mobile phone, Samsung Electronics may have an answer. The South Korean electronics maker has developed what it is calling the world's first mobile phones that can convert spoken words into text messages."
So let's see...I dictate to my phone, edit the inevitable conversion errors (peck! peck! peck!) until the message is readable, send the text message to Tom and then wait for a response from him.
Why don't I just use the phone as a phone, call Tom and speak to him directly?
