My son talked me into finally seeing American Psycho tonight. He said it was about greed in the 1980s. I thought it was a metaphor for the contemporary Republican Party, especially when Patrick stabbed and stomped a homeless man to death. That's what so appealing about great art, its ambiguity . . . .
