Many people wonder where the word "Hooker" came from.
I got better things to do than speculate about the origin of certain words!
But, just as an intelligent guess, I'd say "Hookers" probably got that name from all those millions of sailors over the years and the one guy only having one good arm to defend himself, after you through a coat over the hook.
