With the prospect of penalties looming their ugly head for England v Italy on sunday in the quarter-final, I have to admit my biggest regret as England manager was not hiring a shrink to help the players.

David Beckham, Darius Vassel needed help for penalty misses in 2004.
Ditto Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher in 2006.

More worrying was A..... C... who used to like putting his mobile phone down his underpants and asking me to call him. And 18 year old Wayne Rooney who wanted to sleep with loads of 60 year old grannies.
If we had solved these lads problems we could have won everything!
