Stevie Wonder - My Fake Diary
Monday, 30 June 2003
My fingers are sore as hell today. I've been banging out a few albums worth of tunes this afternoon...but you know what it's like, when you're in a prolific mood, let the love flow.
I like to think of a piano keyboard as a way of being able to talk to God without having to go through the tedium of getting down on your knees and praying. And does God listen? I like to think so, because without hope, what are we? Yes, it's like my old tutor used to tell me, even in "hopeless", there's hope.
Damn my fingers are sore, though! It's times like these where I wish I had a private Nurse or something. Or even a dog! But no...cheap bastards gave me a cane and said "Go for it!".
I might buy myself a dog, but then I'd have to train it not to crap in the house - which would take forever. I mean think about it - I'd wake up in the morning, go downstairs and I'd be able to smell that something was "wrong". And I'd be all like "Geoff, you're in big trouble! Did you crap on the floor?!" And at that point, I'd be standing in it and walking it all through the carpet and so on.
I'm going to go and soak my fingers in Linseed oil - an old family recipe for helping heal pains.
See you around!
