I have visited my local Oakbrook Road Post Office, and urged residents to continue supporting the branch to ensure it stays open.

The Post Office was one of 15 in Sheffield axed in 2008, but it was re-opened in the nearby Oakbrook Deli in Fulwood after a grant was secured to cover the running costs for two years.

Of course local Bartholomew Utterswaithe was there to remind me that throughout the country 314 post offices had been closed since the Coalition came to power.

Who the hell is he anyway?
