As part of my election garbage, I have publicly declared that "I am 'embarrassed' by his promised public transport fare cut - as the seven per cent reduction he has pledged is too small, a bigger price reduction would leave a lack of funds to invest in the transport network.
Questioned about tube and bus fares by students at Southwark College, I replied: 'I'm embarrassed it's only seven per cent. When I cut the fares in 1981, it was by 30 per cent.

Gripping stuff for the poor to get their heads around before they vote for me!
