The Hull Police Commissioner battle:

The fight is on: Justice Secretary Chris Grayling and Matthew Grove joined me in Toll Gavel, Beverley, for a good verbal fight about who is the best candidate for the job.

No left jabs were thrown though, only words.

Both the Tories and Labour are keen to raise the profile of the election.

They did that on Saturday but several shoppers were left wondering whether there is a need for a commissioner.

I can think of 75,000 reason a year to do the job!
