dear diary,

democracy works!

was delighted to hear today that john howard has been re-elected in australia. who would have thought that hitler's nearest and dearest ally in the last truly great war -dad tells me it was brilliant- would be standing shoulder to shoulder with me as we go toe to toe on the war against terror.

(note to self : that reminds me, i must attack japan one day. they tried to kill my dad).

during my congratulatory telephone with jim howard this morning, he informed me that in his country flip flops are known as thongs. i'm sure we can use that.

i think i'll have strudel for lunch today
