In a speech, I warned that abandoning austerity would leave Britain vulnerable to the financial markets as he insisted that the public still backed the government's hard-line economic strategy.

Sounded good eh?

I was pleased with it, Cameron seemed okay with it, and Clegg just looked confused with it!

Of course when I said 'public', I meant those who matter, not the slubberdegullion proletariat.
