Seems that I've created a row by announcing a cap on tax relief on charitable donations at £50,000 or a quarter of an individual's income.

A rebellion by backbench MPs, Tory donors and charities forced the boss to say he would look at "various options" to ensure charities did not lose out as a result of my Budget measure.

I don't like it.
