I'm preparing to concede terms to Scotland's Alex Salmond on the format of the independence referendum on condition that he gives voters a straight choice on whether or not to break away from the United Kingdom…

That's fair.

Of course I shall not be offering the English voters a referendum or choice in whether or not Britain leaves or stays in the Euro… that's unfair...
