My governing coalition is looking more than a little shaky at the moment, with Cleggy throwing a wobbly.

An unwanted by-election in a constituency that we could well lose is the last thing that we Conservatives want. But that's what we've got in Corby.

This might make it an ideal by-election for the euroskeptics of UKIP to make themselves heard in a purely domestic setting, without handing a parliamentary seat to Labour.. I hope.
