Nottingham Forest used to be the place to go to play against the League winners in England, the winners of the European Cup and to play against a team put together by a certain Brian Clough.

Brian Clough played 213 games and scored 197 goals for his home town club Middlesbrough, a club that many years later signed Gaizka Mendieta. Mendieta was before his time with Boro, a legendary player at Valencia, a team that Rafael Benitez was in charge for, from 2001 to 2004.
