Bert Bowery played for Forest between 1975 and 1976, and made two league appearances, scoring two goals.

While at Forest, he spent a loan spell with Lincoln City in 1976, where he made four league appearances and scored one goal, before moving to the North American Soccer League in 1976. but we didn't get on well, although he was a capable player I suppose.

I mention this because I've just read about his son has signed for Aston Villa from Chesterfield.

Watch him... he might go places.
