Leading fashion designer Colonel Gaddafi has today announced plans to team up with fellow humanist John Galliano. This major strategic alliance, sponsored by the UK haute couture retailer Millets, is believed to have been forged during secret meetings in a Paris cafe in recent weeks.
Gaddafi, a popular figure perhaps most famous for his Designer Bivouac collection that includes flamboyant headgear and bed sheets loosely draped over his shoulder in a fetching manner, has dismissed claims by the UN that his people detested his sexy look.
At a hastily arranged press conference, sitting next to his mentor Galliano, the Colonel threatened to kill 'all the pigs who detest polyester rainwear, not forgetting waterproof boots for weekends in the Lake District'.
Galliano was questioned about his motives for working alongside such a pariah, with his publicist referring journalists to a recently released video clip in which Galliano had explained all. In the meantime the public eagerly await the Colonel's next collection which is anticipated to be shown in renowned fashion capital The Hague next year.
