NASA has confirmed that they have sent an official offer the Col Gaddafi for safe passage to the International Space Station.
A spokesman for NASA said:
"We have had continual human habitation on the space station and we feel that by offering Gadaffi asylum here not only does it rid the Libyan's of this dictator, it allows us to conduct interesting experiments."
The spokesman added
"As Gadaffi is definitely a sub-species of human which comes along long not so often , we feel that we could learn a lot by observing how he reacts in weightlessness and away from his comfort zone . We certainly do not have enough room for a tent or Ukrainian Nurses but he can bring photos. But we have assured him that he can keep his title and sunglasses."

Al-Megrahi has confirmed that he will be entering the decathlon in the 2012 Olympic Games.
