Bald headed man, Terry Brynner has taken five months to grow a really big bushy beard. Brynner told friends that there is a method in his apparent madness, because he read somewhere on the internet that a surgeon in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has perfected a surgical procedure whereby bald men (or women) can have their heads amputated and then re-attached upside down, giving the impression of being in possession of a full head of hair.
The Brazilian surgeon, in fairness, did state that having your head upside down on your shoulders could be problematic, with the mouth at the top of the face, the nose being upside down (not good in wet weather - the nostrils tend to flood) and the eyes being roughly where the chin once was.
However, Brynner remains determined to raise the cash to travel to Brazil to undergo the procedure.
"I've grown a really big beard now," he announced. "And I've felt so self conscious all these years - a hairy man living in a bald man's body - that I'm going for it. I understand that my head will be permanently upside down, but at least I'll have hair on the top of it. It's going to cost £12,000 but it will be money well spent if it stops people staring at me."
In all probability, the eyes have it.
