Recently many birds have been dropping out of the sky all over the world, but the latest reason for birds "droppings" and dying is the most bizarre.
It appears that many Romanian birds are alcoholics and love a tipple day and night, just like many of their Romanian human counterparts actually.
This time the birds, thought originally to have "bird flu" (?), have been dropping out of the sky because they were totally pissed out of their heads, lost their balance and fell to the ground like stoned stones.
The birds, mainly starlings, had been tucking into grape 'marc' (leftovers from the wine making industry), they went completely over the top and were poisoned by their excesses it seems.
It is no wonder that Romanian birds and humans turn to alcohol to ease their daily woes, Romania is not really renowned for being the happiest place on the planet and a good old "ornithological" piss up seems to be just the remedy!
