ET, the beloved alien from a 1982 family documentary is not home from a wild party.
He is said to have gone out on New Year's eve, just after 9, to go to a party at his friend's house, two galaxies over, and has not managed to phone home.
His mother told us: 'ET is usually such a considerate young man, but he did not take his mobile phone with him this time, usually he will send a text to let us know when he is coming home.
'I know he is safe, he knows the universe like the back of his hands, and after his first experience with the grog, he has sworn of that for good.
'Unfortunately for us, he is still wearing too much make up and girls clothing, but it makes him happy.'
