The Taliban has announced that it will take "a couple of days off" near the end of December.
Habib Al Roofi, the local spokesman for the "Hairy Ones", local Chapter of the Taliban, told our reporter on Tuesday that the days off are a "personal and psychological necessity".
When asked the details of the "days off", Roofi replied:
"Yeah, we've been under a lot of stress lately. We just can't seem to get our act together. A little time off would be nice".
Roofi went on the disclose some of the details:
"We must do some things...like clean our weapons, build some IED's, take a bath, trim the hair in our noses and ears, rekindle the relationships with our goats---those kinds of things".
Automatic gunfire, weapons firing into the air in celebration, erupted as Roofi disclosed
the details to our reporter.
"See?" said Roofi, "These guys are ready for some well-deserved relaxation".
On the way back from the interview, this reporter happened upon a platoon of Marines and told them of the cease-fire.
A Corporal replied to the "days off" with:
"They can take all the days off they want. It won't matter. When they come back on the field, we'll wax their asses. And it won't be "salon-quality"."
The "days off" is reported to take place around the 28th.
