The Great Battle that Didn't Happen But Kinda Did

BIRMINGHAM - A rougue planet named Glansokoln sent its battle forces to destroy a settlement of Earth. This broke the treaty signed by the entire universe to preserve Earth as a wildlife reserve, and not to disturb its going-ons.

The forces decided not to diverge on any of the planet's main cities, such as, New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Paris, London, Tokyo, or any of them.

Instead it went for the second-city of the United Kindgom, a large city of 1.2 million people called Birmingham.

"We were shocked," reported the Lord Mayor. "When they said that an alien invasion force was heading for Earth, armies and special forces were sent to main cities. I'd never thing they'd attack us. All we have is Cadbury's World, the University of Birmingham, and that's about it."

As many of the UK's troops were in London, a 2 hour drive away, residents used homemade weapons.

Of course, when word got to London, they wouldn't believe it, and simply waited for the time to come.

When asked why they were invading Birmingham, the ETs replied, "Invading? Holy crap! Wrong planet! This is the Earg planet right? Earth... as in the planetary nature reserve? We're in deep sh#t back home..."

Videos were posted on YouTube, detailing the attack, however, many comments read "What you smoking, blood?", "This ain't London, right? Nah It's gotta be!"

Even American news networks, some of the most gullible people in the world, didn't believe it.

"I refuse to believe that such an event took place," said David Cameron. "We have several logical explainations as to why the city of Birmingham is half-smoldering."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
