Gap-teeth, ginger hair, freckles, thick eyebrows - they're all back on the catwalk and in the style mags as the beauty industry tires of perfection.
American dentists report more girls having brackets inserted between their front teeth to creat the gap-toothed look.
Would-be models are also having teeth slightly stained as model agencies are going for the "ordinary" look.
Gap teeth have appeared on the front of style magazines and Mulberry's last show featured models sporting copper-coloured wigs.
Beauty editor of Grazia magazine, Liz Hambleton, said: "I think we're maxed out on perfection and looking for something a little more real at the moment.
"A gappy tooth, tons of freckles, huge geek chic glasses all give someone so much more personality."
One of the latest generation of supermodels is Grizelda Sauerkraut of the Sturm & Drang agency. She was picked from obscurity by agency chief Elspeth Nincompoop who found her in a cottage in Germany's Black Forest.
Elspeth says: "Grizelda has just the look designers and photographers are looking for today.
"She has that wonderful single front tooth protruding over her bottom lip and those hairy moles on her nose are spectacular.
"Karl Lagerfeld absolutely adores her hairy legs and saggy bosom.
"Clothes hang beautifully from her humped back when she's on the catwalk and generally she really lifts front covers of magazines like Vogue."
