Silly American types, pff.

Controversial plans have been leaked to the press that outline an idea to build an Islamic community centre on the site of the mine shaft, made famous recently by the rescuing of 33 miners in Chile, trapped underground for 70 days, it has been discovered however that this is untrue.

Unfortunately there was a miscommunication of some description, which lead a British tabloid to reprint Spoof articles as if they were true. One of the other recent articles being that a theme park was also planned for the site, an excellent piece of satire written by a "TheSpoof.com" reporter Gabhan O'Buachalla, and picked up by The Daily Star among others, allegedly.

One of the local residents who heard the story said, "We would have been OK with it, even if it were true, after all we're not silly Americans!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
