Following concerns of the condition of the Sports Arenas in New Delhi, the Commonwealth Games have officially been relocated away from New Delhi's Sporting Centre... and moved to a large conference hall in the city's CBD.
Despite heavy monsoon rain, the athletes will still compete in their various sports... but on the Nintendo Wii instead.
The Canadian Team mascot, Joe Farley, spoke in favour of the moves to change the Games into a Nintendo Wii fest: despite admitting that years of training have been thrown to waste in light of the criticisms.
"We get amazing accommodation in 5 star hotels. We still get to represent our country. We get the best service. And it's still a great laugh!"
Reports linking a sudden revolution in the Global Commission for Sport has been quashed, in light of rumours that if this year's Games are participated on the Wii then the wrong people have been chosen. Nonetheless, technology expert Chris Roberts had this to offer.
"Who has a Wii these days anyway? It wouldn't make a difference."
