A missing page to Anne Frank's Diary has been discovered in an Amsterdam charity shop. The delicate paper is entitled, "Page One" and has the words "Private. Keep Out" written in faded black ink across the page.
Dutch historians have declared the diary entry as genuine.
Mr Van Der Vander, Curator of Anne Frank House in Amsterdam said, "It is rather embarrassing for all involved with Anne Frank's Museum. It is clear that she never wanted her diary to be read by anybody and I can imagine her being mighty peeved if she knew what had happened."
Steps have been taken to remove all copies of Anne Frank's Diary from public circulation. The task as been branded as "rather tricky" by the organisers.
Anne Frank House, Amsterdam, are appealing for anybody with a publication of the diary to either return it to the Museum, or to avoid postage costs, simply burn it.
Mr Van Der Vander would like to thank everybody in advance for their cooperation.
