Canada's National Anthem is so out of date that citizens are calling for the lyrics to be changed in order to address the ever changing 'faces' of Canadians.

One line, especially, is said to be so out of date it should be taken to the Human Rights Commission.

The second line of the anthem is:

"Our home and native land." Considering the number of immigrants and asylum seekers now residing in Canada, plus the fact that the Government today announced its intent to 'take in' many more 'displaced peoples' in the coming years, this line of the anthem is defunct.

A competition is being held, nationwide, to re-write the National Anthem to make in 'all inclusive'. Inclusiveness is the buzz word at present.

The winner of the competition will receive a lifetime supply of Tim Hortons coffee and donunts (American spelling).
