Orlando, FL - Monkees fans everywhere can finally rejoice, the pre-fab four have finally agreed to meet for a one-off concert event at Epcott Center in Disney World.
The concert is scheduled for next fall on the exact same night at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert. The Monkees have been snubbed by the Hall of Fame and specifically Jann Wenner who has alway claimed the Monkees weren't worthy due to the fact they didn't play their own instruments early on. Of course nowadays not playing your instruments is totally overlooked.
"The deal is Jann Wenner didn't write his own material at first either, he had a ghost writer," says Davy Jones jokingly, "Get serious, they let some of the lamest acts in Rock n Roll in there and here we all continue to rock out."
"Were not doing this for the Hall of Fame, were doing this for the fans," says Peter Tork, "Were all getting too old to wait for another old fart to change his mind, we frankly don't care."
"Jann Wenner is a dufus," says Micky Dolenz, "He's the luckiest person to have had the life he's lead, and he doesn't even know what that means."
"If they were to let us in now, I wouldn't turn up for the show," says Mike Nesmith, "What's the point? We know what we've been to a lot of people. Were already there in everybody else's mind so to hell with him."
